P: Prayer Power

Definition: Preparing everything with prayer and dependence on God.
Implementation:  Teaching people to begin everything with prayer, recognizing their dependence upon God, aligning all of life with the heart of God.
Action Steps:  Cover all ministries and life with prayer. Communicate prayer requests. Provide instruction on strengthening prayer. Provide opportunities for people to receive prayer. Develop the ministry of intercession. Believe God for miracles, empowerment and revival.

A: Availability to Christ
Definition: Avail all we are and have to the service of God.
Implementation: Match with intention, people's S.H.A.P.E.: Spiritual gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality and Experience with ministry opportunity.
Action Steps: Develop ongoing training to equip people for service. Encourage generosity as a vital part of faith. Invite people to gladly give their best to God's work. Empower people for ministry according to their gifts. Encourage awareness of ministry opportunities.



S: Spirit-Filled Lifestyle
Definition: Seek to know God and to do His will, regardless of the challenge.
Implementation:  Emphasizing a spirit-filled lifestyle in faith, gifts of the spirit, healing, deliverance, and ministry.
Action Steps: Expect great things from God and attempt great things for God. Encourage and develop spirit-filled worship experiences. Seek to know the full expression and operation of spiritual gifts. Assist people to discover personal freedom in Christ and deliverance. Promote the pursuit of holiness and integrity.


S: Spirit-Led Service
Definition: Seek to serve together as empowered and led by the Spirit.
Implementation: Each one serving together in a spirit of love and unity.
Action Steps: Recruit people for ministry based on S.H.A.P.E. Encourage intergenerational relationships and support. "We are family." Identify and develop people to organize teams in order to meet specific needs. Encourage vision birthed ministry initiatives within ECC and the community. Commit to the spirit of love and unity.


I: Influencing by Love
Definition: Impact our community by showing God's love in practical ways and introducing others to Christ.
Implementation: Doing all we can to influence our community with the love of Christ.
Action Steps:  Share practical physical aid with those in need. Develop a regular practice of servant evangelism. Present the gospel through major outreach productions. Encourage the use of the arts to proclaim the gospel. Equip each person so they can actively introduce their friends to Christ. Extend to our community the unique ministries a large church can offer. Seek to respond to human needs in the church and community. Partner with other organizations in order to express Christ's kindness to those in need. Develop a referral network to provide material, emotional, and physical assistance.

O: Outreach
Definition: Obey the Great Commission.
Implementation: Offer opportunities for direct participation in global missions.
Action Steps:  Target specific world mission opportunities. Organize specific mission teams both locally and globally. Discern and send mid-term workers to our target areas. Create avenues of opportunity to actively participate in world missions. Special events serve as strategic entry-level opportunities of outreach. Assist in the planting of churches in our target areas.

N: Nurture That Empowers
Definition: Nurture spiritual growth through discipleship.
Implementation:  Helping people toward spiritual maturity through teaching and relationships.
Action Steps: Invite everyone to participate in small groups. Help every small group to develop leaders and multiply. Establish support recovery groups. Emphasize the teaching of scripture with a practical life application. Follow Jesus in authentic Biblical lifestyle, mutual accountability and mentoring relationships. Provide a school of ministry.
