When started
at Evangel:
A very warm day in August 2001
Interests:
Auto Racing especially NASCAR, Motorcycle riding, Mustang
convertibles, Horton's Coffee, US politics, walking on Florida
beaches with Cheryl and playing with kid's toys, especially those
tacky gadgety ones.
Favorite
movies:
I think most movies are a waste of time. (Watching an auto race
is not a waste of time though). Good movies have a wholesome
story with good clearly winning over evil and the triumph of the
human spirit. "October Sky" was one of those, and Disney's
"Cars" is definitely right up there near the top.
Fav music:
It's difficult for me to pin down one style of music as a
favourite. I like a variety. Soul is good and the hits of the
60's & 70's are fun. When it comes to Christian? Ah, lets see,
I like it with a clear message. Ray Boltz, Mercy Me and of course
Michael W Smith are inspiring. When I listen to radio it's usually
news and talk radio
fav books:
My favourite book is the small one that holds up the short leg on
my desk. Of course, aside from the Bible, "Maximize the Moment"
by TD Jakes, “Who Put My Life in Fast Forward" by Phil Calloway,
"Spiritual Warfare" by Derrek Prince, ah, oh yes how could I
forget "Red Green Talks Cars" by of course, Red Green.
about me:
I was introduced to Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour in my
early adult years by a very dear Anglican priest named Ted who
lead me to the Lord. My wife Cheryl became a Christian a couple
years after me. We have two sons, Mark and Aaron, both grown and
on their own (hallelujah). God lead me into children's ministries
not long after I was saved and I have been ministering to kids
every since. There has never been a time in history when the
children of the world have been more spiritually at risk than they
are today.
fav. Sports
teams:
Jack Roucsh Racing & the Maple Leafs
embarrassing
moment:
I have had a number of embarrassing moments over the years.
Fortunately I have erased most of them from my memory bank and
would like to keep it that way.
nickname
growing up:
"Em"
fav school
subject:
Geography with spares a close second.
first job:
Looking for excitement I became a lion tamer at the circus. (Not
really, I was an engraver at a Jewelery Store) |
